Lives Not Knives is an innovative and award-winning youth-lead charity, that works to prevent knife crime, serious youth violence and school exclusions by engaging, educating, and empowering disadvantaged young people and supporting them to enjoy their lives and improve their prospects.
For over 15 years, Lives Not Knives have worked with schools and communities, delivering workshops, community engagement activities, after school and holiday provision aiming to make a difference and impact young people’s lives by providing alternatives to crime.
The Educate Hub is a unique and powerful resource of tools based on lived experience and insight for educators to teach young people about the impact of knife violence.

Our resources identify the socio-economic factors that can increase the risk of carrying a knife or offensive weapon and we offer lesson plans to provide the opportunity for young people to discuss with their educators the alternatives so that all young people can look forward to fulfilling lives.

Calendar that highlights National Awareness days and provides teachers with resources to use on those days.
Monthly network meetings provide support, insight, and education for teachers, from friend of Lives Not Knives; such as police officers, psychologists and ex-gang members. Teachers will be invited to scheduled meetings where they will be able to network and ask relevant questions to support their understanding of youth violence, pre or post delivering the resources.
1-2-1 meetings offer personalised support over a quick 30-minute call that you have the ability to book, both helping create a whole school approach.

Due to rising demand for resources from Schools, Children’s services, youth groups and public services. Lives Not Knives have spent the last few years strategising with teacher’s, young people and various people within the community with lived experience of youth violence to create, support and strengthen the knowledge for youth leaders to feel better equipped to deliver resources as an intervention for young people.
